Judge Alan M. Black S. is the District Judge for Division “A” of the Twenty-Second Judicial District Court, State of Louisiana.

Alan M. Black is the District Judge for Division A, in both St. Tammany and Washington Parish.

Alan is a distinguished legal professional with a career spanning over four decades in the 22nd Judicial District Court of the State of Louisiana. His vast experience includes a pivotal rote as a law clerk for Judge Hillary J. Crain at the First Circuit Court of Appeal. Recognized for his expertise, Alan has been appointed 36 times by the Louisiana Supreme Court as an Ad Hoc judge for the Slidell Bogalusa, and Hammond City Courts.

ln addition to his judicial appointments, Alan has made significant contributions as a Hearing Officer for Code Violations at the St. Tammany Parish Bureau of Administration Adjudication and as a Juvenile Traffic Court Referee for the City Court of East St Tammany.

A graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and the Louisiana State University School of Law, Alan has been a continuous advocate for his communities in Washington Parish and St. Tammany Parish. His legal acumen is further highlighted by his long-standing membership with the 22nd JDC Bar Association.

His involvement in the community is evident through his membership in various local organizations, including the Ozone Camellia Club, Saint Luke The Evangelist Catholic Church and his past role at the Slidell Boys and Girls Club. His deep-seated involvement in the local communities of Washington and St. Tammany Parishes reflects his dedication to the area he has called home for his lifetime.
