TO FIND YOUR HEARING OFFICER: After 4:00 p.m. on the business day before your Hearing Officer Conference, check the docket list next to each Hearing Officer’s name. After finding your Hearing Officer, email your Family Law Affidavit and supporting documentation to your Hearing Officer and opposing counsel or self-represented party. On the day of your conference, click on your Hearing Officer’s ZOOM button fifteen minutes before your conference. You will be placed in a virtual waiting room until your Hearing Officer is ready to start the conference.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HEARING OFFICER CONFERENCES BY ZOOM
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE AN ATTORNEY IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM YOUR CLIENT OF THE FOLLOWING:
Proper attire is required for all Zoom hearings. No hats, shorts, tank tops, flip flops or bare midriffs; shirts-tails must be tucked in.
No other parties are permitted to be in the room during the conference. Only the parties and attorneys may participate.
Neither the parties, their attorneys, nor their agents or assigns, are to record, by any means, any part of the conference. A violation of these Court orders shall be considered grounds for a finding of contempt of court.
Participants shall not be in close proximity to each other as it causes audio and video transmission issues.
Prior to the start of the conference, make sure you are in a quiet room. Test your audio to make sure it works. No one except the parties and the attorneys shall be present in the room during the conference. This includes any minor children.
If possible, do not participate in the zoom conference from your car.
Once the conference begins, remain still and do not move or walk around with your device.
Do not answer any incoming calls or texts, or otherwise speak to or interact with parties outside of the Hearing Officer Conference.
