Families in Need of Services (FINS)

Families in Need of Services (FINS) is an intervention program for at-risk youth. As a “pre-delinquency” tool, it merges social workers, the court and schools to provide counseling, accountability and education for youth in lieu of court adjudication. Both youthful offenders and their parents are assessed and their unique needs as a family are addressed. Judge Scott Gardner works with the FINS program which is administered by the Youth Services Bureau in both St. Tammany and Washington Parishes.
