Appointed as a hearing officer for the 22nd JDC in 2016, Amanda is a St. Tammany Parish native. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2002 and from Paul. M. Hebert (LSU) school of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 2005.

Prior to becoming a hearing officer, she served as an Assistant Public Defender as the Supervisor of the Juvenile, Non Support and Misdemeanor Divisions. She is a Child Welfare Law Specialist, holding that certification since it’s adoption in Louisiana in 2015. She is a graduate of Leadership St. Tammany and has been a long standing board member of East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity and is a current board member of the Louisiana Support Enforcement Association.
