Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a community based advocacy program that utilizes trained volunteers to advocate for abused, neglected and at-risk children. CASA workers are assigned only one or two cases at a time and utilize all available resources to address issues related to a child’s safety and welfare. CASA workers function as neutral non-party advocates to find the best solution for individual children. As the Juvenile Court Judge in the 22nd Judicial District Court, Judge Scott Gardner works closely with CASA volunteers.
