Judge Tara Farris Zeller - Division B

Judge Tara Farris Zeller is a native of Slidell, Louisiana and a graduate of Slidell High School, LSU and LSU Law School. She was admitted to practice law in 1993.

Upon graduating from law school, Judge Zeller worked at Thornhill, Kelley, Farris & Faustermann, a general civil litigation practice in Slidell where she served as Managing Partner.

She spent 11 years as a Staff Attorney for Judge Donald M. Fendlason and Judge Richard A. Swartz of the 22nd Judicial District Court. She was also appointed by the judges of the 22nd JDC to serve as the Court’s Commissioner Pro Tempore for Washington and St. Tammany parishes. From 2015 through 2023, Judge Zeller practiced criminal defense as a partner with Spell & Spell.

She was elected in October of 2023 and has served as Judge, Division B since January 1, 2024.
