Commissioner James G. Burke III is the Commissioner of the Twenty – Second Judicial District Court of the State of Louisiana.

Greetings,

We presently have a procedure in place that establishes that all arrestees in St. Tammany and Washington Parish will have a bond set within 24 hours of their arrest, if they qualify.  The bond is set based on many factors which we feel are relevant to whether the arrestee has a high probability of appearing in court on their assigned court date, as well as the factors enumerated in Code of Criminal Procedure Art. 334 and other relevant statutes.  This includes the weekends and holidays.  Therefore, any attorney who has a client that has been arrested may find out what their client’s bond amount is by contacting the personnel at the Bond Office of the STPSO @ (985) 274-1070.  Please be patient because the booking procedure takes several hours to complete.
